‘The Princess Diaries’
We all need a good throwback comfort movie every once in awhile. Best watched with a bowl of buttered popcorn,The Princess Diaries will provide nostalgia, laughs, and an all-around feel-good vibe where you can take a deep breath and decompress from your day. Starring Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews, Mandy Moore, and Heather Matarazzo, you will be transported to Genovia, where any ordinary girl can be a princess, and even the frizziest of hair can fit under a crown. Clumsiness and awkwardness abound as San Francisco native Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway) stumbles her way into royalty with the help of her grandmother (Andrews) and the man who is every 2000’s girl’s dream fairy godfather, Héctor Elizondo, who plays Joe. As Thermopolis’ “princess lessons” unfold, you’ll be transported back to your 16-year old self. You’re sure to smile and laugh, but don’t be surprised if a tear is brought to your eye too.
