The Real Bros of Simi Valley are back again, this time with even more parody content than viewers bargained for.
The show, a spoof of The Real Housewives and Jersey Shore franchises, is now in movie-format and coming to Roku on July 5.
Featuring the likes of the original cast — including Jimmy Tatro, Nick Colletti, Tanner Petulla and Cody Ko, alongside star-studded guests like Tony Hawk, Shaun White, Zoey Deutch, Tyler Posey, Retta, Tre Hale, and Rob Riggle — viewers will have as much fun watching the film as the “bros” had making it.
In the trailer, shared exclusively with DECIDER, fans can get an early look at the Real Bros film.
The premise of the new movie revolves around the bros attending the Simi High ten year reunion, with a heavy emphasis on Xander’s (Tatro) new truck, a feud with Jatthew’s crew, and a lot of “quick chats.”
The guys are determined to do whatever it takes to look, in Xander’s words, “as sick as possible.” Unsurprisingly, the bros run into just as much drama as the real Real Housewives do.
The trailer opens with a truck pulling up to the bros’ driveway, knocking down the mailbox.
“Is that guy revving at us?” Wade (Ko) asks.
“Goddammit!” Molly (Colleen Donovan) exclaims in shock.
Much to the house member’s delight and surprise, Xander hops out of his new truck, which he later describes in the clip as “truck of the year” – a prize he hopes to win at the reunion.
The next scene depicts the bros receiving an invite to the event, at the place where it all began. They’re all hyped about their return to their former stomping grounds… that is, until Jatthew comes back into the picture.
Not only does Jatthew’s truck provide quite the competition to Xander’s for the “truck of the year” title, but his pad wins out, with Shaun White, playing himself, chilling by the pool. After their run-in with Jatthew’s squad and the ladies of Selling Simi at his abode, Xander realizes he’s facing “every type of adversity known to man.”
“The only thing we can do right now is spend every waking moment making sure we look as SICK as possible,” Xander tells the rest of the bros, who enthusiastically agree.
In an attempt to try to look as “sick” as possible, Xander goes on steroids, as disclosed by Wade – but Xander won’t address the accusation, at least first.
The end of the clip certainly makes it clear — there will be scraps, throw downs, roughhousing, and hands thrown.
As Duncan (Colletti) concludes the scene by saying, “It’s gonna be a bloodbath.”
