The Bold and the Beautiful is getting two new additions to the cast, and seasoned television fans may recognize them as the children of two major television stars.
Deadline reports that Crew Morrow will be making his acting debut as Will Spencer, the son of Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). He began filming June 14 and will make his debut on the show Thursday, Aug. 1.
Soap fans may recognize him as the son of Young and the Restless star Joshua Morrow, who has been on the CBS drama since 1994.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, the soap opera world is small. Tom, who is playing Crew’s on-screen mother, once appeared on Young and the Restless as his father’s on-screen sister.
TVInsider also reports that Joshua reportedly auditioned for a role on The Bold and the Beautiful just days before he booked The Young and the Restless in 1994.
The other new addition to the cast is Jamison Belushi, daughter of Saturday Night Live star Jim Belushi.
Jamison will be playing a lab tech named April, who works with Dr. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Her storyline will air July 15, as part of a summer-long mystery arc.
Jamison previously appeared in her father’s sitcom According to Jim between 2005 and 2008. She most recently appeared in the Freevee holiday romcom Hotel for the Holidays starring Madelaine Petsch, and voiced a character in The Glue Factory.
CBS recently extended The Bold and the Beautiful for another year through 2025. The show will then negotiate a brand new contract, according to supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays 1:30/12:30 ET/PT on CBS.
