In the Fox reality series Stars On Mars, 12 celebrities are sent to “Mars”, which is really a big soundstage in the middle of the Australian Outback. There, the celebs face challenges, supply shortages and emergencies that determine which ones are “mission critical.”
Of course, celebreality shows like this live and die on the small moments that show that, yes, these celebs are just like us. Take Marshawn Lynch, for instance; the Super Bowl-champion running back jumped at the chance to be the first base commander — a position that’s changed every 48 hours — because the position came with its own sleeping quarters and (more importantly) its own bathroom.
In this exclusive clip from the second episode of the series (airing Monday, June 12 at 8/7c), Lance Armstrong — who, for some reason fellow crew member Ariel Winter confused with Neil Armstrong — decides to use Lynch’s bathroom. “It’s right there,” Armstrong says as we see him stride into Lynch’s bathroom as if it’s in his own house. Let’s be honest, though; the disgraced former Tour de Force champion really just wanted a little “Lance time.”
Of course, Lynch, who thinks he’s the greatest leader of a fake celebrity Mars mission that ever was, has an appropriately funny reaction to Lance’s brazen use of his bathroom. But, with his tenure as base commander ending, we’re pretty sure he’s going to keep using that bathroom, as well, no matter who the next commander is.
Stars On Mars, hosted by William Shatner, airs each Monday at 8/7c on Fox, streaming the next day on Hulu.
