Rob Schneider‘s latest comedy special will air exclusively on Fox Nation, the subscription streaming service owned by Fox News.
A press release from the network states that the “unfiltered comedy special” titled Rob Schneider: Woke Up in America, “will feature Schneider’s signature comedic take on a variety of topics, including culture wars, living in a woke world, and navigating the nuanced times of identity politics.”
The release continues, “He will also tackle the controversy surrounding the word woman and UFOs, plus making a movie with former President Donald Trump and his own vasectomy saga.”
It certainly sounds like a greatest hits compilation of conservative talking points.
Schneider, who rose to fame on Saturday Night Live, has been vocal about his conservative leanings in the past, sparring with liberal actor Alec Baldwin over Schneider’s support for Donald Trump, and defending comedian Shane Gillis’s racially insensitive comments which got him fired from SNL in 2019. Schneider claimed that Gillis’s firing was the result of our living in an “era of cultural unforgiveness.”
This is not the first time Fox Nation has dipped its toes in comedy: this past February, the service aired Roseanne Barr‘s Cancel This special, which went on to become one of its most-watched releases.
Rob Schneider: Woke Up in America was filmed before a live audience back in March at the Tampa Theatre in Tampa, Florida. It will premiere June 18 on Fox Nation.
