It’s quite a week for new releases on streaming: Netflix has a new season of Emily In Paris (the streamer also dropped the new Mark Wahlberg-Halle Berry action movie The Union), Prime Video released the high-octane comedy Jackpot!, and Apple TV+ dropped the first episodes of their highly anticipated new series Bad Monkey. And on top of all that, you can catch a new season of Bel Air on Peacock, and the premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All-Stars on Paramount+. Not a bad way to spend a weekend.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Jackpot!, Emily In Paris, Bad Monkey + More

John Cena, Awkwafina, and Simu Liu star in the Paul Feig-directed comedy Jackpot! on Prime Video, which came out Thursday, while the newest season of Emily on Paris premiered on Netflix the same day. Over on Apple TV+, Vince Vaughn co-stars with Michelle Monaghan,Rob Delaney, Jodie Turner-Smith and more in the crime dramedy Bad Monkey.

New on Prime Video August 15: Jackpot!

In Prime Video’s Jackpot!, Awkwafina stars as a woman who wins a massive lottery prize which puts a target on her back, because in this dark comedy (that also feels like a glimpse at our actual future?), anyone who kills her by sundown can claim her prize. John Cena stars as a “lottery protection agent” tasked with keeping her alive, and the supporting ensemble features Simu Liu, Seann William Scott, and Murray Hill.

New on Netflix: Emily In Paris (Season 4, Part 1)

Emily In Paris is back for a fourth season this week – or at least, part of a fourth season. Part one dropped on August 15, while the second half of the season will be out on September 12. These days, Emily (Lily Collins) is still dealing with the fallout from Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille’s (Camille Razat) wedding that wasn’t, while also going viral on TikTok in a very unfortunate way.

New on Apple TV+ August 14: Bad Monkey

Bad Monkey stars Vince Vaughan as a former police detective reduced to conducting restaurant inspections, which kinda feels like the role he was born to play. Eventually though, the job becomes much more complicated than just looking for the presence of live rodents and flies when the discovery of a severed arm pulls him into the dangerous, corrupt crime world of south Florida. The first two episodes of the 10-episode series arrived on Wednesday, with new episodes premiering weekly after that.
