A new generation will finally get to experience the exciting magic and silly hijinks of Wizards of Waverly Place as the hit sitcom’s highly anticipated reboot, titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, has finally landed a Disney+ premiere date.
OG stars David Henrie and Selena Gomez are named as executive producers on the new series, which will follow Henrie’s character Justin Russo — who’s now a mortal father of two — as he dusts off his old wand to mentor a young wizard-in-training.
Two other Disney alums are also set to work on the upcoming project. Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel and That’s So Raven star Raven-Symoné, who previously spearheaded her own reboot Raven’s Home, will direct episodes throughout the first season.

When will the Wizards of Waverly Place reboot premiere?
The first two episodes of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 8/7c on Disney Channel. The first eight episodes of the season will then drop on Disney+ on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Who is starring in the Wizards of Waverly Place reboot?
Henrie will reprise his role as Justin Russo in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. Mimi Gianopulos will play Justin’s wife Giada Russo, while his two sons Roman and Milo will be played by Alkaio Thiele and Max Matenko.
Janice LeAnn Brown will play Billie, the young wizard Justin is tasked with training. Plus, Gomez will guest-star as Alex Russo in the first episode. David DeLuise, who played Jerry Russo in the original series, will also make a cameo at some point, according to Henrie’s Instagram.
