New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Kardashians, Atlas, The Beach Boys + More

Jennifer Lopez, Sterling K. Brown, and Simu Liu star in Netflix’s big release this week, Atlas, a sci-fi thriller that pits humanity against AI (sounds like the actor’s strike all over again!). Over on Hulu, you can tune in to the season 5 premiere of The Kardashians, and on Disney+, a brand new music documentary, The Beach Boys, about the seminal surf rock band, is out this week, too.

New on Hulu May 23: The Kardashians (Season 5)

It’s hard to believe we’re already five seasons into The Kardashians on Hulu, but here we are! The latest season premiered on Hulu on May 23, and new episodes airing weekly on Thursdays throughout the spring. Catch up on Kim and Kourtney’s feud, Khloe’s relationship with Tristan, Kim’s acting job on American Horror Story, and the birth of Baby Barker, all of which will be documented in these new episodes. (The real question is, will Timotheé Chalamet ever grace us with his presence on camera?)

New on Disney+ May 24: The Beach Boys

From The Beatles’ Get Back to The Eras Tour, Disney+ is cementing its status as a destination for music lovers. The latest addition to its music documentary catalog if The Beach Boys. Airing on Disney+ this Friday, The Beach Boys is an all-new documentary film celebrating one of America’s most influential rock groups of all time. The film includes interviews with band members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, and Bruce Johnston, and dozens of other music industry legends who worked with, or were influenced by, the band, and a companion soundtrack, The Beach Boys: Music From The Documentary, will release simultaneously.

New on Netflix May 24: Atlas

Jennifer Lopez’s relationships are none of my business, but kudos to her for keeping her romance with Netflix alive. The triple threat performer’s latest Netflix film, Atlas, is the newest to come out of Netflix’s deal with Lopez’s company, Nuyorican Productions. In Atlas, which premieres this week, Lopez plays Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst who gets shot into space to stop a rogue AI-powered robot that threatens to destroy humanity.
