New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Killer, Pachinko, Incoming + More

Apple TV+’s Peabody Award-winning series Pachinko, based on the novel by Min Jin Lee, returns for a new season this week. With the teen comedy Incoming, Netflix promises “a party you’ll never forget,” and on Peacock, get ready for thrills and kills with John Woo’s The Killer, an updated version of his 1989 action classic.

New on Peacock August 23: The Killer

Peacock’s new original action movie The Killer is based on John Woo’s 1989 Hong Kong classic, and Woo is back to direct his own reinterpretation. In this iteration, Nathalie Emmanuel stars as an assassin whose decision not to kill one of her marks puts a target on her own back. Lupin star Omar Sy co-stars.

New on Apple TV+ August 23: Pachinko

Season two of Apple TV+’s acclaimed series Pachinko arrives on the streamer this week, picking up where season one left off, weaving together parallel stories that take place in 1940s Osaka and 1980s Tokyo. Season two will consist of eight episodes, with new ones available every Friday through October 11.

New on Netflix August 23: Incoming

Netflix is bringing back the raunchy high school comedy with Incoming, about four freshmen attending their first big high school party. The film is the debut feature from the minds of Dave and John Chernin, the creators of The Mick and writers for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It’s Always Sunny actor Kaitlin Olson co-stars, along with Bobby Cannavale and an ensemble of up-and-coming young actors.
