Netflix is providing a bountiful harvest of new streaming shows and movies this fall, kicking off with the new thriller The Deliverance (not to mention the new Greek myth-based series KAOS starring Jeff Goldblum). On Prime Video, a new season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is out, and on Peacock, you can catch The Fall Guy.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: The Deliverance, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Fall Guy + More
If it’s movies you seek, the new supernatural thriller The Deliverance arrives on Netflix this week courtesy of director Lee Daniels, while and extended cut of this summer’s big action comedy The Fall Guy makes its streaming premiere on Peacock. As far as shows go, this week brings us a new season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Prime Video, but these are just a few suggestions; take a look at what else arrives this weekend!
New on Netflix August 30: The Deliverance
The Deliverance, directed by Lee Daniels, co-stars Glenn Close, Andra Day, Caleb McLaughlin, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. The supernatural thriller is inspired by a real-life Indiana haunting of a family whose children might (or might not) have become spiritually possessed after they moved into a new house. The film hits the platform Friday.
New on Prime Video: The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Season 2)
A new season of the most expensive TV series ever made is returning this week: season two of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power arrived on Thursday with three new episodes; one new episode will drop weekly after that. This season chronicles Sauron’s rise to power as he forges all the rings his cold, cruel heart desires.
New on Peacock August 30: The Fall Guy (Extended Cut)
It’s high noon at the edge of the universe, folks. Whatever that means. The Ryan Gosling-Emily Blunt blockbuster The Fall Guy hit the spot this summer as far as action-rom-coms with nonsensical films-within-a-film go, and now the movie is available on streaming exclusively on Peacock. Both the theatrical cut and an extended cut with over 20 minutes of additional footage are available on the platform.
