Taylor Swift‘s Eras stadium tour will power on next month, but there’s one stadium she’ll reportedly be cheering at instead of singing at on Thursday night.
Citing a “source briefed on the security arrangements at Arrowhead Stadium,” home of the Kansas City Chiefs, The Athletic reports that the “Cruel Summer” songstress will in fact be attending Thursday night’s game, where the Super Bowl LVIII victors will face off against the Baltimore Ravens.
Swift’s beau and the team’s tight end, Travis Kelce, received support from Swift in the stands at many games last season, including the Super Bowl. Many had speculated whether or not Swift could make it from her tour stop in Tokyo. However, she was indeed present, and even garnered support for Kelce’s squad. A Numerator survey revealed that 20% of Super Bowl Viewers that tuned in rooted for the Chiefs solely because of Swift.
Kelce has made his way further into the entertainment space, making his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series Grotesquerie. Adam Sandler also recently teased a Kelce cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, telling The Tonight Show in August that they “have a nice something for Travis.”
While tonight’s game marks the start of the 2024 NFL season, Thursday Night Football doesn’t begin until Week 2 (Sept. 12), when the Buffalo Bills play the Miami Dolphins on the latter’s home turf.
Tonight’s Chiefs-Ravens game kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, NFL+, and Peacock Premium. For more on information on how to tune in, check out DECIDER’s guide to How to Watch the Chiefs-Ravens Game Live.
