‘The Little Hours’
With the release of Netflix’s The Decameron, it is time to look back at a previous adaptation of the short stories. The Little Hours portrays two stories from the collection in a film of wild and salacious adventures. Alessandra (Alison Brie), Fernanda (Aubrey Plaza), and Ginevra (Kate Micucci) are three nuns in the 13th century who have high expectations placed upon them. However, the nuns are not as good as they appear. Alessandra is drawn to the new gardener, Massetto (Dave Franco), who she believes to be a deaf-mute. Fernanda has some sadistic tendencies that come from her time in a certain coven. Finally, Ginevra might realize that she is actually gay. This hilarious historical tale will captivate you to the very end with its terrific performances and exciting twists.
