Do you know what the hardest part of rebuilding a post-apocalyptic society completely governed by teenagers is? Remembering everyone’s names. At least that’s the case when it comes to Netflix’s latest teen drama The Society. There are a lot of characters in this show about the end of civilization and oh-so-many boys who clearly go to the same Great Clips studio. Fortunately, we’re here to help you tell all of The Society‘s cast apart.
From the co-creator of Part of Five Christopher Keyser comes Netflix’s latest drama that’s one part mystery and 99 parts teen angst. After a field trip goes awry, a group of teenagers from West Ham find themselves in an alternate version of their town. There’s just one major difference in this brave new world: the new West Ham doesn’t have any parents or young children.
It’s up to this group of decidedly dumb teenagers to cobble together some form of society in the middle of chaos, and to the surprise of no one they are quite bad at it. There’s murder, betrayal, back stabbings, completely unnecessary deaths, too many hookups to count, and an apocalypse prom. What’s a teen focused sci-fi series without one of those?
With a cast of 13 leading characters, there’s always a lot going on in The Society and it’s always going in a lot of different directions. It’s very easy to lose track of who hates who or why this particular moody teen is currently sad. We don’t have all the answers to this whiplash show, but we do have a few. Here’s your cheat sheet to the major characters in Netflix’s The Society from Kathryn Newton’s Allie to Alexander MacNicoll’s lesser known and but still narratively important Luke.
